Ahmadu Bello University Arts Festival

The Ahmadu Bello University Arts Festival held annually from 2017 to 2019 and served as a dynamic platform for celebrating creativity, culture, and academic excellence. Situated in Northern Nigeria and hosted at one of the country's premier educational institutions, the festival brought together students and enthusiasts from across the nation and beyond. Each year, the festival showcased a diverse array of artistic disciplines, spanning visual arts, music, dance, theater, literature, and more. Attendees were treated to thought-provoking exhibitions and immersive experiences that honored Nigeria's rich cultural heritage while fostering contemporary artistic innovation. Beyond its role as a showcase for talent, the festival served as a catalyst for intellectual discourse and creative exploration. Through panel discussions and workshops, participants engaged with pressing social issues, explored new artistic techniques and exchanged ideas on the role of the arts in society.
Throughout its three years of existence, the festival has hosted more than 20 guests and attracted over 300 attendees, generating over half a million Naira in income. Sponsored by Ahmadu Bello University, Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation, Daria Media, Book Buzz Foundation, and other private funders, we owe them a debt of gratitude for their invaluable support
