North East Festival of Arts & Culture

The North East Festival of Arts and Culture aims to promote peace, education, and the rich cultural heritage of North East Nigeria. The festival acknowledges the significant impact of the Boko Haram insurgency in the region and seeks to honor the resilience of its communities while fostering unity and reconciliation. Through celebrating arts, and culture, and facilitating dialogue, the festival strives to create a platform for shared experiences and collective visions for a peaceful and prosperous future.

The festival spans three exhilarating days packed with diverse activities. Day one kicks off with an inspiring opening ceremony followed by a series of immersive workshops covering topics like writing, journalism, and leadership. Tailored for students, aspiring journalists, and emerging leaders, these sessions offer valuable insights and practical guidance, led by acclaimed experts. Over the next two days, attendees can engage in thought-provoking panel discussions led by esteemed intellectuals, covering a wide range of pressing issues. Book chats with renowned authors will nurture a vibrant reading culture, while poetry slams will celebrate linguistic diversity and indigenous storytelling traditions.
